Printing on an inkjet - Make sure you have the correct paper for the job. Matt coated paper gives great results equivalent to photo paper in most instances. 1440 + dpi is what you are looking for. To increase the depth of your images try using the blend option in your software or increase the gamma. Colour variations can be achieved by changing the saturation levels. Always use the print preview to inspect your handy work before printing it's so easy to press the button and then realise you have set the image to Landscape instead of portrait. If this does happen reach for the stop button on your printers controls !
